Back to Edinburgh, this time to a new venue for us - The Signet Library, next to St Giles in the centre of Edinburgh for the wedding of Charlotte & Stuart. It was another beautiful day - I don't remember when I last had such a run of great wedding weather!
I started out at the house where Charlotte and her bridesmaids Judith & Hazel were getting ready, once they were done we did a few pictures in Charlotte's beautiful garden.
For this job I was working with another photographer, Andy Scott, from Newcastle, so while I was busy with the girls Andy was already at The Signet Library - the venue for both marriage and reception - with the boys, and he took this superb portrait of Stuart.
From the outside there are few clues to the splendor of the inside of the building. This was shot downstairs from the back of the library where the wedding took place
After the wedding we nipped out into West Parliament Square for a few shots with Charlotte & Stuart
The upper gallery was used for the meal and the evening reception, and it was an incredible location for a wedding with a great atmosphere.
I've worked with Heritage Portfolio, who ran the whole event and provided all the catering and bar services, many times, most recently earlier this month at Claire & Garry's wedding at Mansfield Traquair. Ian and Linda and the team do a magnificent job, and it is always a pleasure to work with them.
All in all it was another great wedding. I got home exhausted at about 10.30pm, and then took my son James and five of his friends paintballing at Skirmish (next to Dalmahoy) the next day for James' 16th birthday - great fun, I need a holiday now though!
